Isaac Fayose Accuses INEC of Distributing Unclaimed PVCs to APC in Ekiti

Isaac Fayose has alleged that INEC is distributing unclaimed voter cards to the APC to influence the Ekiti state governorship election results.

Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has claimed that the Independent National Electoral Commission is improperly giving out uncollected Permanent Voter Cards to supporters of the All Progressives Congress. He voiced this concern on Saturday as voting for the Ekiti gubernatorial election began.

The current race features sitting Governor Biodun Oyebanji representing the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Oluwole Oluyede. In a video posted to X on Saturday, Fayose described a scheme regarding these unclaimed documents.

Fayose asserted that winning an election as an opposition candidate in Nigeria is nearly impossible given these circumstances. He stated that the electoral commission is transferring unpicked cards directly to APC members. Furthermore, he claimed that the APC is providing non-indigenous residents with 20,000 Naira to utilize those specific cards to cast votes in favor of the party.
