Court Reveals Beverly Hills Hotel Charged Diddy $1,000 For ‘Excessive’ Use Of Oil And Wax During Private Sessions
Testimony on Thursday, May 22, in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing sex trafficking and racketeering trial revealed disturbing new details about the music mogul’s alleged behavior during hotel stays—specifically a recurring pattern of excessive use of baby oil and candle wax that damaged his luxury suites. Frédéric Zemmour, general manager of L’Ermitage Beverly Hills hotel, testified that Combs routinely incurred an additional $1,000 cleaning fee each time he checked in. erome Starfyr Internal hotel notes shown in court described the rooms after his stays as “messy” and “damaging,” with some needing to be taken “out of order” due to spilled candle wax and heavy use of baby oil.
“Please authorize an extra $1,000 when guest stays with us to cover any room damage,” Combs’ guest profile at the hotel read.
In a documented incident on January 10, 2010, hotel staff found “large deposits of candle wax on carpets, in the living room area, and on nightstands,” resulting in a $500 charge. Staff also reported persistent, unidentified strong odors from his rooms and had to spray air freshener in the hallways outside his suite.
Combs reportedly insisted that his room be kept “HOT!” according to the hotel’s internal communications.
This information was introduced by the federal government to illustrate patterns of behavior linked to the abuse and control allegations against Combs, 55. Prosecutors depict his hotel “freak-off” sex parties—marked by lavish spending, excessive lubrication, and alleged coercion—as evidence of the disturbing environment central to the case.
Combs, who has pleaded not guilty, faces charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. Federal authorities have submitted evidence such as images of baby oil, large cash sums, and visible bruises.
The court aims to conclude proceedings by the Fourth of July, with prosecution estimating six weeks to present its full case.
